Description:
A locally run affiliate of Habitat for Humanity Int'l, a nonprofit, ecumenical Christian housing organization. Habitat provides exterior and interior accessibility home repair for Douglas & Jefferson County seniors age 55+ so they can remain in their homes safely and independently. Projects may include safety and accessibility improvements such as ramps, handrails, bathroom grab bars and addressing trip/fall hazards. They also include porch, gutter/soffit and siding repair and exterior paint.

Eligibility
Douglas and Jefferson County seniors age 55+ with incomes is less than 80% of the HUD median income. They must own and live in the home as their primary residence. At this time, mobile homes are not included in the program.
Fees
Homeowners pay only a portion of the project, based on their income. This can be put on an interest free payment plan.
