Description

Wichita Indochinese Center’s mission is to teach skills and provide services including English as a Second Language, Workforce Development, and Digital Literacy to immigrants and refugees so that these individuals will be-come self-supporting and contributing members of the Wichita community.

Hours

Classes: 9 am -12 pm and 6 - 8:30 pm Mon - Thurs; Afternoon Independent study is by appointment only Mon - Thurs; GED Class: 8 am - 12 pm Mon & Wed (please call for Orientation Dates). Office hours: 9 am - 5 pm Mon - Fri.

Eligibility

Any adult (age 18 and over) whose first language is not English.

Fees

A $25.00 material fee / 6 months with cash or check + a one-time book fee of $40. GED classes cost $30 per semester (July--Dec; Jan--June).

Intake Procedure

All new students attend an orientation before classes begin. Orientation consists of important student information, testing, and meetings with adult education staff to review assessment results and set learning goals. Please call for the next Orientation date.
