The Lifeline is comprised of a national network of over 200 local crisis centers, combining custom local care and resources with national standards and best practices.

Description
A free, confidential, 24-hour hotline network available to anyone who is suicidal, concerned about someone who is, or who has experienced the loss of a loved one to suicide. Calls are routed by area code of caller to the center that serves that area. Kansas area code calls are answered at Headquarters Counseling Center in Lawrence. Lifeline centers must meet current best practices in suicide prevention to be part of this network.
