Description:
Senior Companion volunteers 55+ provide opportunities for social engagement to isolated or homebound seniors at no cost to the family. Qualifying volunteers receive a non-tax stipend, meal, and mileage reimbursement. Hours vary dependent upon the needs of the client and the volunteer. Volunteers can serve from 10-40 hours per week, as desired. Activities include companionship, medication reminders, transportation to appointments, and respite for the caregiver.

Eligibility
Volunteers are seniors ages 55+ with a desire to help others, who can pass a federal fingerprint background check. Clients are isolated or homebound seniors and their caregivers.
Fees
None, but donations are accepted.

Volunteers must be 55+, have a desire to help others, and be able to pass a federal fingerprint background check.
