The Lawrence Community Shelter is the only emergency homeless shelter serving Douglas County. The Lawrence Community Shelter offers services to adults facing homelessness. Services: A bed, meals, basic amenities, internet access, phone access, and referral information.

Eligibility
Adults experiencing homelessness in Douglas County. Must be experiencing category 1,2 or 4 homelessness.

None.
Intake Procedure
Night by Night Shelter Program: Available between the hours of 7pm-7am. Intake is open from 7pm-10pm, individuals. Intake closes at 10pm for quiet time unless there is prior approval. 25-bed 24/7 Continuous Stay Program: Limited availability with prioritization given to those who are most vulnerable or have the highest need. Referrals can be sent to https://forms.gle/yFuG26zSBUsDcsEfA Each guest provides basic information, completes a diversion questionnaire, completes an intake, submits to an initial search of belongings, and goes through a brief orientation to the expectations and policies at LCS.
