The KanCare program is the State of Kansas Medicaid program. KanCare delivers whole-person, integrated care to consumers receiving services. Kansas contracts with three health plans, or managed care organizations (MCOs), to coordinate health care for nearly all Medicaid beneficiaries. The KanCare health plans are Aetna Better Health of Kansas; Sunflower State Health Plan (Sunflower), and UnitedHealthcare Community Plan of Kansas (United).

Fees
Most families qualify with no out-of-pocket expense. Some families may have to pay a $20 or $30 monthly premium per family.
