Fully accessible public transportation Services for weekday door-to-door transportation throughout Douglas County and rides to and from medical appointments in Lawrence, Topeka, Kansas City and Leavenworth.
Hours
Scheduling/Office Hours: 8:30 am - 5 pm Mon - Fri. Bus Hours: 8 am - 4 pm Mon - Fri.
Eligibility
Elderly (age 60+), disabled and the general public. Children four years old or under and less than 40 pounds in weight must be secured with an appropriate child seat provided by the parent or guardian. All children 16 years old and under must be accompanied by an adult.
Fees
A $3 fare is collected for each one-way ride within Lawrence City Limits, $5 for each one-way ride within Douglas County, and a $30 fare is collected for round trip out-of-town medical trips to the Kansas City or Topeka areas.
Intake Procedure
Reservations are taken Mon - Fri, 8 am - 3 pm by calling 785-843-5576. To assure a ride it is advisable to book your ride as far ahead as possible. You may book a ride up to 7 days in advance.
