TEMPORARY COVID-19 Procedures: We will continue to offer all services by phone intake only from 9am – 1pm, Monday-Friday, 785-357-5341. Food is offered via phone intake 9am-1pm, client will need to pick food up by 2pm daily. Clothing bank is currently open on Tuesdays and Thursdays by appt only. Call the day before to make an appt. We are also providing rent & utility assistance (as funds are available), prescription assistance, dental and gas vouchers, and local bus tickets for work or medical appts. Calls will be taken from 9am - 1pm each day for phone intakes and providing assistance. To provide emergency services to people in need and/or experiencing a crisis in their lives who need a little help. Services include: food, clothing, rent, utilities (gas, electric water), prescription, dental (limited) and transportation (gas voucher/bus tickets - in city only) assistance. Food Assistance available every 30 days; Clothing available once every two weeks; Rent and Utility Assistance available ONE time in 12 months from any agency as funds are available; Prescriptions and Transportation Assistance available TWO times in 12 months from any agency. Transportation in the form of gas vouchers and city bus tickets for travel to work, job interviews and medical appointments. Dental assistance limited to one time per person. Will pay to have 1-2 teeth pulled or enrollment fee for dental clinic as funds are available.

Eligibility

Food assistance is once every 30 days from wherever you received it last. Clothing is every 2 weeks. Rent and utility assistance is one time in 12 months wherever you received it last. Prescription assistance is two times in a 12-month period, at least 6 months apart and a total maximum $150. Dental vouchers are one per person. Gas vouchers and City bus tickets are two times in a 12-month period, at least 6 months apart, must show proof of employment or medical appointments.
