CASE MANAGEMENT SERVICES !€“ Case managers utilize strength-based and trauma informed strategies to meet an individual!€™s and family!€™s holistic needs. They assess, plan, evaluate and advocate for options and services offered by Catholic Charities, as well as community partners.

FOOD ASSISTANCE !€“ Our client choice food pantry gives those we serve the opportunity to select items appropriate for their families!€™ dietary and cultural needs. Every 30 days, shoppers choose from a variety of high-quality perishable and non-perishable foods, including fresh fruits and vegetables. There is also a limited selection of personal care hygiene items and diapers available. Throughout the week, sack lunches are available through our Corita!€™s Corner sandwich ministry. These are distributed from a walk-up window at the rear of the building. There are no requirements for ID or frequency.

HOUSING & UTILITY ASSISTANCE !€“ We provide housing assistance to those who may be, or who are at risk for, experiencing homelessness, providing rapid rehousing and homeless prevention services, directing others to community partners for transitional housing. We also provide direct financial assistance for past due rent and utility payments. Picture ID, Social Security cards, and proof of income for everyone in the household 18 years of age and older is required. For rental assistance an eviction notice and a copy of a signed legal lease is also required. For utility assistance a disconnect notice is also required.

FINANCIAL EDUCATION !€“ Understanding and managing personal finances is key for regaining economic stability. Financial coaching and classes are offered through the Family Financial Transformations program. Also, our Kansas Loan Pool Project (KLPP) helps individuals refinance high interest predatory loans. available for those who meet the criteria. Payday or Title Loan must be $1,500 or less, must have stable, traceable income, household budget must reflect ability to make monthly loan payments, monthly case management for the duration of loan, and attendance of financial education courses is mandatory.

EMPLOYMENT SUPPORT !€“ Our St. Rita skills training program assists individuals in overcoming barriers to educational and career advancement. We provide intensive, wraparound case management, connections to resources and essential skills training. Our Workforce Specialists assist program graduates, placing them in high-demand, high-earning career tracks. Also, job-seeking individuals may receive job placement assistance or sharpen their job readiness skills through our Job Seeker workshop series.

PREGNANCY COUNSELING & ADOPTION !€“ Caring and confidential counseling is available to those facing an unexpected pregnancy. For married couples experiencing infertility issues, Catholic Charities is a state licensed adoption agency. We work closely with birth parents and adoptive couples to match newborn babies with their forever families. For pregnant women who choose to parent, we counsel and connect them with community resources to help prepare for a healthy birth.

NUTRITION ASSISTANCE !€“ Good nutrition builds healthy communities. Our Food and Nutrition programming empowers individuals and families to acquire new skills and become comfortable preparing more nutritious and affordable meals. Our focus is on how to cook, shop, grow and prepare healthy meals on a budget. We also collaborate with a variety of community partners such as the KSDE and USDA to increase awareness and access to local, as well as federal food programs including the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) and Child Nutrition & Wellness.

Food Pantry open from 9 am - 4 pm Mon, Tues, Thurs and 12 - 4 pm Wed.
Corita's Corner sandwich ministry open 9 am - 1 pm Mon - Fri.
