Family Promise of Greater Wichita (FPGW) is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization, working to empower families with children to overcome homelessness and housing insecurity through a holistic approach, community involvement, and sustainable solutions. We do not provide immediate access, emergency shelter. We do offer a transitional shelter program, as well as emergency services (including rental assistance when funds are available) to help families with children move toward sustainable independent living. Emergency services and shelter programs are partnered with required intensive case management and community support to help ensure a family!€™s long term success.

Shelter Requirements:

We are not a traditional shelter but shelter is provided as part of our program. We serve families with children and their pets. Families must be willing to work a case managed program. They must be willing and able to find employment.

Families with children and pregnant families. Shelter Requirements: Not appropriate for those actively fleeing domestic violence and in imminent danger. Must be willing to submit to a background check prior to entering the program.

The person seeking services needs to call directly during business hours to speak with staff and complete a phone screen.
