The VEC provides a neutral site for custody exchanges between parents and supervised visits for families dealing with divorce, separation, domestic violence, child abuse, protection orders, threats or family reintegration. Three VEC locations in Lawrence, Topeka, and Wichita.

Eligibility
Can be self-referred, court-ordered or agency referred, and services are available regardless of residential address.
Fees
There is a fee for each intake. Monitored exchanges are $5 each exchange per parent. Supervised visitation fees are assessed on an income based sliding scale and assess to the visiting supervised party (unless specified otherwise by a court order).
Intake Procedure
Before visits or exchanges may be scheduled, each parent must separately attend an intake interview.
