Description:
Medic All lowers the barriers to healthcare for low-income individuals by offering a seamless and cost-free healthcare experience that begins with telemedicine consultations.
After a user books an appointment on the Medic All platform, they will receive a virtual meeting link, where they will meet with a licensed healthcare professional that best matches their needs. Medic All currently provides four types of consultations: Symptom-Based, General Check-Up, Fitness & Health, and Mental Health consultations. During the virtual meeting, the healthcare professional will create a medical report, including diagnosis, conditions, future steps, etc. The healthcare professional can prescribe medication, refer the patient to a partnered organization, and/or provide general instructions. A follow-up meeting will be scheduled for 3-6 months to ensure continued care. A significant limitation of a fully telemedical organization is the inability to conduct tests and distribute medication. In cases where such services are necessary, Medic All is partnered with local free clinics and social service healthcare programs to fill prescriptions and complete tests at minimal to no charge for patients. In addition, by sharing patient databases, these partnerships alleviate clinic load and augment Medic All!s reach. Medic All uses volunteering healthcare professionals to provide services to users. The organization is partnered with established medical practices, groups, clinics, and healthcare teaching institutions as a source for volunteering professionals. Healthcare professionals not affiliated with partnered organizations must provide the necessary credentials before volunteering. Medic All is partnered with city homeless and impoverished individuals outreach teams to distribute and spread awareness of the service. Our partnership with an EHR centralizes all patient information and keeps records for future visits, which can be shared with partnered organizations, other providers, or the patient. Lastly, our partnerships with libraries, public schools, and outreach programs allow individuals that do not have access to devices to receive services.
