Description:

Equity Initiative, Inc. is a youth development after-school organization that is dedicated to preparing young people for the world and changing the course of their lives. Five ways we do this are: offering FREE groups and workshops on Life Skills Development, encouraging Social and Emotional Learning, providing Entrepreneurial Exposure, arranging Media Arts engagement, and supplying FREE tutoring to elementary, middle, and high school students. Our mission is to provide marginalized communities with positive life skills, resources, and guidance in order to ensure the success of future generations.
Marginalized students often face significant achievement gaps compared to their peers. Our Work-IT-Wednesday program aims to bridge these gaps by providing targeted support and a personalized learning experience. Our after-school setting provides a supportive and structured environment where students can focus on learning without distractions. This can be especially beneficial for marginalized youth who may face additional barriers to learning during regular school hours.
