Federal government departments and agencies that have primary responsibility for or a support role in helping to restore the nation's energy systems following an incident of national significance (ESF #12). Activities include gathering, assessing and sharing information on energy systems damage; estimating the impact of energy systems outages within the affected area; and working closely with and helping to meeting requests for assistance from state and local energy officials, energy suppliers and deliverers.
