Family Promise of Greater Wichita (FPGW) is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization, working to empower families with children to overcome homelessness and housing insecurity through a holistic approach, community involvement, and sustainable solutions. We do not provide immediate access, emergency shelter. We do offer a transitional shelter program, as well as emergency services (including rental assistance when funds are available) to help families with children move toward sustainable independent living. Shelter Requirements:
We are not a traditional shelter but shelter is provided as part of our program. We serve families with children and their pets. Families must be willing to work a case managed program. They must be willing and able to find employment.

Families with children and pregnant families. Shelter Requirements: Not appropriate for those actively fleeing domestic violence and in imminent danger. Must be willing to submit to a background check prior to entering the program.

The person seeking services needs to call directly during business hours to speak with staff and complete a phone screen.
